International Daycare

International Daycare

Bink has two international daycare groups for children between the ages of 0 to 2 and 2 to 4 at our daycare location Toermalijn. Our bilingual daycare is primarily intended for children from international families. Our educational staff members actively speak English and Dutch fluently with the children.

Educational approach

Babies and toddlers experience different things whilst at daycare than at home: A daycare center is a place where children grow up together. They learn to play, share and help each other.

Our educational approach aims to allow every child to develop in its own way and at its own pace, this to reach his or her optimal potential with others.

Every child is unique, with his/her own temperament and preferences. We look at and listen carefully to every child; we do this to understand his/her individual needs and to ensure that each child feels safe, secure and has fun. This is the basis for optimal development.

We acquaint children with healthy nutrition from an early age in a playful and fun way. After all, this is how we create habits that last a lifetime! Read more about having meals together at Bink.

Bilingual daycare

Our educational staff members encourage the development of both Dutch and English by speaking both languages. Bink chooses for the OPOL method: One Person, One Language. Children who grow up with different languages at home are often used to using one language with one parent. We try to replicate this situation as much as possible.

At the beginning and the end of the day, English is spoken in order to be able to communicate about the day with parents as well as possible. When the group is ready and parents are no longer bringing or picking up their child, both languages will be spoken.

Bilingual daycare requires extra skills and knowledge, which is why our staff members receive extra guidance and coaching about bilingual language development and acquisition.
